Reviewing MarsEdit
So I’m reviewing MarsEdit for Macteens and the review will be coming within a couple of days to 2 weeks. When it does, I’ll provide a link here.
So far I’m liking being able to have local drafts and I like having to not have Safari open. This makes it much less cluttered, which helps when trying to actually write things. I have not tried any of the other things so far, so I have no idea what I’ll think of it a couple days.
Right now, though, I’m looking for some opinions of people who have used MarsEdit, so I can gauge how much people like it and how much it is used.
So, comment away.
Edit:
I’m just trying out image embedding. So, here’s a picture I took.

That was more complicated than I would of hoped…

I love MarsEdit. I use it everyday, and it’s great — so much better than the built-in WordPress administration panel. I feel MarsEdit could have a more integrated interface. What I mean, is their is a weblogs window, a post window, a media window, a preview window; way too many windows. Other than that, I love it.

I love MarsEdit. It’s the best weblog editor I’ve used. Some of my favorite features are the media browser & flickr support that lets me easily insert images from Flickr or iPhoto.
I also really like the Paste Link feature. Just copy a link from your web browser, hilight some text in MarsEdit, and it will paste the URL as a proper link with the selected text as the anchor.
It’s also very nicely integrated with NetNewsWire (which is now free). When you post to blog, it will automatically format the entry from NNW according to a template you can modify.
